The Ultimate Travel Packing List for Women

Traveling is great, but the packing process can be a hassle. Trying to pack light, but also wanting to look and feel like your best self anywhere in the world can be tricky. This is why we shared the ultimate travel packing list for women to help you become a more efficient packer and a pro female traveler!

1. Underwear

First things first, underwear. If you’re a clean freak, we suggest you go with a higher number of underwear. Of course, you can hand-wash, but if you’re moving every couple of days from place to place, there won’t be time for either washing or drying. Pack at least one sports bra, so you’re set for any sort of physical activity. When it comes to socks, perhaps you’ll want to consider getting special walking socks, not cotton ones, and a couple of pairs of longer “normal” socks, suitable for hiking.

2. Chargers and adapters

Unfortunately, we are dependent on technology even on the road, and there’s no use in denying it. In order to avoid being cut off from the world and your favorite gadgets, never forget chargers and adapters compatible with the countries you travel to. No one likes having their phone or Kindle battery dying right in the middle of a journey, hours away from the destination. Additionally, you can pack an extension lead and make your only daily routine while traveling significantly easier – use the adaptor so you can do your hair, charge your smartphone and have music blasting from your speakers all at once. Make sure to pack all of these in something waterproof.

3. Outfits

Outfits are the hardest part, because you want to be practical, but you want to look nice as well. Make sure to pick the bottoms which are easy to match, comfortable and that you know how to pack them wrinkle-free. With tops, you should give yourself some freedom and maybe even go a little crazy with the number. When it comes to skirts, try to avoid them – dresses are a much better option, and they’ll save both your time and space. Check an affordable women’s clothing online store and get your to-go one-item outfit you’ll look incredible in for any occasion on the road.

4. Comfy shoes

Globetrotting requires long hours spent walking, hiking, or sitting on a bus or a train, with your shoes on. This is why comfortable shoes are a must for every female traveler. Forget about the high heels and fancy sandals to match that one outfit you’ve been planning to wear on your candid trip photo, and instead think rationally and practically when packing shoes – they take most of the space in your suitcase. Since Converse match with literally any outfit, and they are also comfortable, and ultra-durable, consider packing those. However, if you’re headed off the beaten path, women’s hiking boots are a must.

5. Swimwear

Regardless of your destinations, don’t go over the top with the number of packed swimsuits. We understand if you wish to show off your gorgeous body around the world in trendy swimsuits, but be practical about it – make sure you have one bikini which is easy to wash and dry and won’t cause tan lines in weird places, and perhaps one or max two more solely for aesthetic purposes.

6. Sunglasses

And of course, sunglasses. We probably should have put them on the top of the list, since they’re basically a life-safer on the road. Trendy sunglasses will give you a diva look and help cover up any signs of traveling fatigue or absence of makeup. Moreover, they’ll protect your eyes from harmful UV rays. Have your favorite pair on you and pack another just in case you lose or break the first ones.

With this packing list, you’ll spare yourself the future headaches and dilemmas. Forget about the daunting process of trying to figure out what to pack for a week, a month, or a year overseas, particularly when you’re limited with luggage, and let yourself enjoy the whole process of traveling, including the packing phase.
